Fees and Billing Arrangements

From 1 November 2025 our practices will Bulk Bill all Medicare-eligible patients for all eligible services under the Medicare Bulk Billing program.

Bulk Billing means we accept the Medicare benefit as full payment for an eligible service, and you don’t have to pay any gap fee.

We want to ensure we can provide affordable health care to our patients and our community. Increased government funding means we can offer Bulk Billing on eligible services and maintain business needs.

Some services won’t be Bulk Billed, so you may still need to pay a fee for these services.  These services are not eligible under the Bulk Billing program and include:

  • Commercial Vehicle Medicals
  • All Other Medicals eg. Sporting Medical, Employment Medical etc
  • Allied Health and other non-GP services

If a patient’s Medicare eligibility cannot be determined or the patient does not have a Medicare card number at the time of service, the practice may not be able to Bulk Bill. If this situation arises, you should discuss the options with your practice.

Home and Other Visits

Out of surgery visits are provided within the Lockyer Valley.  Prior arrangements are required to accommodate home and other visits.  All GPs within the Practice are required to authorise this arrangement.

These practices use a “Recall & Reminder” system to provide preventative care for their patients.

If you do not wish to be part of this system please inform your doctor or the receptionist. This practice also provides SMS reminders (24 hours prior) for booked consults.

All urgent matters will be addressed immediately.

Telephone consultations are available for eligible patients; bookings can be made on through our website or by calling reception.

Patients phoning for information or advice regarding their clinical care are encouraged to book an appointment with their GP either in person or via a telephone consult.

Doctors will advise when they expect the results to be available at the end of your consultation and if necessary, inform you to make a follow-up appointment (within the following week) to discuss these results and findings.
