Dr Weslyn commenced working at The Lockyer Doctors in January 2013. She hails from the city of Chennai in South India. After completing both MBBS and Postgraduate Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the renowned Christian Medical College, Vellore, she widened her horizons by working in NHS hospitals in the UK for 2 years before moving to Brisbane in 2006 to work at the Mater Hospital for 4 years. During this time, she discovered an emerging interest in General Practice and worked at the Emergency Department at Redland Hospital for a year in preparation to enter General Practice. Her main interests are in Women’s Health and Antenatal Care, Child Health and Immunisations and Chronic Disease Management. Outside of work, Dr Weslyn loves cooking, cricket, church and spending time with her husband and their twin sons.
