Skin Checks and Treatments

Skin Checks and Treatments

The Australian Institute of Health and Welfare reported this year that 1,774 deaths were attributed to melanoma skin cancer in 2016.

This is a major concern for us as Australians as majority of us have experienced sunburn at least once in our life, giving us an increased risk in developing not just melanoma, but any skin cancers. Additionally, the older we get, the more we are at risk to developing an abnormal lesion.

In the new year, make it your goal to see a doctor at any of our clinics who specialise in skin cancer detection and treatment. It is important that you are around for your family and friends and to not become a statistic. Our friendly receptionists will be able to point you in the right direction if you wish to  book a skin check with us at The Lockyer Doctors. Skin checks are available at all four practices as we havemany doctors who have undertaken extra training in skin cancer medicine.
