National Breast Cancer Foundation – GO PINK
June 2021
Since 1994, with the support of the community, the National Breast Cancer Foundation has invested in $183 million in Australia into 572 world-class research projects.
The five year survival rate in that time has increased from 76% to 91%. The number of women being diagnosed in their lifetime has increased from 1 in 8 to 1 in 7.
Breast Cancer is still the most diagnosed cancer in Australia however and it’s incidence is increasing. Almost 20,000 will be diagnosed this year – 55 Australians every day of 2021. Eight Australians die from breast cancer each day.
By making a pledge to GO PINK and raising funds this June, you can take a stand against Breast Cancer and help the National Breast Cancer Foundation fund more world-class research that will help to detect tumours earlier, improve outcomes and save lives.
